Want to know the single most important thing that I have learned living in a different country?
How many people in my life truly care about and love me.
It’s one thing to have friends that are always there for you when you live near them, another to have friends that are always there for you even when you’re living in another state, and another thing altogether to have friends that are always there for even when you’re living in a different country. Trying to communicate with people who have such a large time difference can be hard, and the fact that people still try to contact me despite that warms my heart. The number of people who are always messaging me, calling me and FaceTiming me just to check in on me is honestly astounding. Being in a different country truly shows you who your real friends are – and I have a lot of them 🙂 (both in San Diego and Seattle). So a special shoutout to all of my friends that have been there for me while I’ve been away in Australia. I can’t stress enough how much it means to me to have so many people out there who care and love me enough to always be there for me no matter the situation. I love you guys ❤
